DeLay threatens broadcasters with evil trial lawyers and frivolous lawsuits over factually accurate ad

The statements in the ad are accurate, which is why he doesn't want it aired.

Cheney: "There wasn't, but there is, so there was"

Claims to have "new proof" of Saddam/terist ties, but still won't show it to us. Well, I have documents that also "prove" he's a lying, fascist criminal. The difference is, I'll show them to anyone who wants a look.

Goerge wants it both ways

He can tell other countries what to do (click headline)...

But other countries can't tell him what to do.

Tells Germany's Merkel to butt out over Gitmo.

The new war is over free speech, so get ready

Between now and the mid-terms, get prepared for the fascists to turn anti-war talk into giving Kool Aid and comforters to anemones.

And don't forget the war vote-riggers are waging on actual elections

Are Diebold and ES&S teaming up to guarantee theft of every election from now on?

And of course there's the war of lies and slime that yellow-stained, chickenhawk draft-dodgers wage on decorated heroes.

Their most recent target being, of course, Cong. John Murtha who only spent 37 years in the Marines. (Read this all, especially what the writer wishes Murtha had said to the sissies who started lying about him. I'd have said it, too.)

In the parallel universe of Kancervatron, opposing limits on civil rights is "misguided"

ACLU once again stands up for the Bill of Rights in the face of fascists who would turn our country into a feudal theocracy.

Mackerel-snappin' papists hate America, want the terists to win

We're glad you're with us on Goof War II now, but where were you three years ago when you might have helped prevent the bogus war in the first place?

If only we could be more like the fascists...

Apparently, the problem with Democrats and non-Movement Republicans, libertarians and conservatives is that we all lack “Gleichschaltung”. According to this blame the victim approach, America deserves the authoritarian radicalism inherent in 'Bushism' and Alito.

If only, the lament goes, Democrats and Oppositionists could be more like the radical Authoritarians. This would somehow prevent social tension. Thus, we need more “Gleichschaltung” or coordination — the policy used post 1933 to “coordinate” spheres of life in Germany with the 'will of the people' channeled through the regime.

Gleichschaltung is the inherent premise of almost everything regime apologists like the tiresome Marshall Wittman, Joe Lieberman and the like spew forth. According to this view, Democrats and Oppositionists will prevail only when we embrace the authoritarian, traditional, emotional, irrational. This dishonest view offers . . . what? The peace of Landrew?

"I'm Martin Luther King's ghost, and I approve of this military flyover"

He would, wouldn't he?

Al Gore: One of a handful of Democrats worthy of the name

Howard Dean may be the only other one.

Gore to challenge goerge (again) over Constitutional crisis. Worthlesscorporatemedia to ignore challenge. Swift Boaters ready with more lies, slime.

Goerge illegally spied on law-abiding citizens months before 9-11

God told him we were going to be at war, so it's okay.

Honest debate=good, partisan debate=bad, very bad

PATRIOT: "Your president broke the law and violated the Constitution."

FASCIST: "Why do you hate America and want the terists to win?"

Pentagon to families: Forget that your loved ones are dying in a bogus war, and just laugh more

Families and friends of 2214 KIAs have lots to laugh at.

Evolution proven...for the 17,398,874,653rd time

Bird flu evolution is evolution.

Pat Robertson is sorry he once again revealed himself to be the bitter, senile, theofascist fool he is

But mostly he's sorry he won't make any money on the theofascist theme park deal.

If by, "support the troops," you mean launch a secret smear campaign against a former one

Goerge did it to Murtha. And shame on the Pentagonian jackasses who went along with it.

Eagles hunted the defenseless 1,994,000 years before Earth existed

Remember, Earth is only 6000 years old. Theogeologists and theobiologists at Liberty "University" say so, and they wouldn't lie or be wrong about anything. Therefore it has to be true.

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa - An American researcher believes he has solved the mystery of how one of the most important human ancestors died nearly 2 million years ago: An eagle killed the 3 1/2-year old ape-man known as the Taung child.

Hitler loved the cowardly predator who only picks on the defenseless.

One of Hitler's beloved eagles guards Dachau.

John Ashcroft loves eagles, too. What does that tell you?

Remember when resluglicons were against "unfunded mandates?"

That was before they wanted us to live in a police state. Or rather, before they could make us live in a police state.

How many babies were raped at Gitmo?

The former CO ain't saying.

What's he afraid of? He was only doing goerge's and, by extrapolation, God's work to keep America safe from the terists.

It's time for another Boston Tea Party

Except this time, we throw all the Diebold election-stealing machines in the water.

There's one way to guarantee your vote will be counted: Use a mail-in ballot. Vote absentee, if necessary.

The election thieves are going after New York next.

Theofascists outraged at Abu Ghraib baby rapes

Or not. But they sure do hate libruls who oppose baby rape.

Battlestar Distractica attacks again

"Saddam raped more babies than we did, so focus only on him."

Baby rape=good, reporting baby rape=bad, very bad

Raping babies "worked," kept America safe from terists

Scripture: 'I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink'...Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink?...'Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.' Matthew 25:35, 37, 40

I dare anyone claiming to be a so-called Kompassionate Kancervative Krixtain to mention abortion to me ever again. If someone does, he's getting a slapping that's long overdue.

If that's what "worked" before, DeptHomeSec and the Pentagon should stop wasting our money on bomb detectors, missile shields and new nukes, and just rape more muslim babies.

Give Netflix the videos. All patriotic, krixtain 'Murcans want to watch our heroes rape babies and keep us safe.

Rape all the muslim babies you want. It's legal.

Raping babies is not just for those "few bad apples" anymore.

Rape a baby for goerge. If you're in uniform, the Pentagon will cover it up.

See what I mean?

Theofascists wipe their butts with the Constitution, just like goerge does

"God was never mentioned" in illegal school assembly. Parents raise a ruckus. Good for them. These people are fighters. We need millions like them, not those snot-nosed sissies in Congress who call themselves Democrats.

Time to replace every Democrat (sic) in Congress

Dems will let Scalito slither through, barely opposed.

Mrs. Scalito's crying game staged, acting coach Rachel Brand caught on video. Swift Boaters sunk by own runaway torpedo. Will the worthlesscorporatemedia report the truth? Does anybody want to know the truth anymore?

Resluglicons are corporate whores, but at least they're $10,000-a-night callgirls the CEOs met at the Playboy mansion. Democrats are also corporate whores, but no more than truck stop lot lizards who charge $20 for ten minutes.

I mean it. I'm sick of having people call themselves Democrats, only to cave to literally everything goerge does. If no one in this current crop wants to be a fighter, we need to replace them someone who does. Clean house at the mid-terms. Things can't possibly be worse.

Scalito will help goerge make us drink shit

Only in the parallel universe of Kancervatron does a "Clean Water Act" increase pollution.

In a series of rather stunning responses to questions from Senators at his confirmation hearing today, Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito defended his decision in a key public health and water pollution case to dismiss the lawsuit brought by citizens to clean up pollution in the Delaware River.

"Unless people can prove they are sick from drinking the water, citizens are going to have a tough time protecting waters that they use and care about from industrial pollution if Alito is confirmed," said Joan Mulhern, senior legislative counsel at Earthjustice and clean water advocate. "Effectively, what Judge Alito is saying is: don't drink the water."

Mulhern noted that Judge Alito's position on this case relates directly to two cases currently under consideration by the U.S. Supreme Court in which, if confirmed, he could determine the outcome. In these cases, developers and polluters are arguing that tributaries of larger "navigable" waters, like the Delaware River, should have no Clean Water Act protections at all, even if pollution from these smaller streams and rivers eventually flows down into the larger river.

(Who needs science, anyway?)

"Unfortunately for the American public, Judge Alito's comments indicate that he appears to share polluters' disregard for the simple fact that waters flow downstream," added Mulhern.

Let's be very clear about this simple fact: Goerge wants us to drink shit.

He has actually ordered the Environmental Protection Agency to allow for the mixing of shit into America's public sources of drinking water. Bush and his friends call this process "blending".

This is what we mean when we say that George W. Bush wants to put shit in your drinking water. He really, actually has proposed changing Americans' drinking water into a "blend" of water and shit.

"Sewage Blending Policy" Fact Sheet

In the parallel universe of Kancervatron, child rape/torture is legal

And, by extrapolation, God's will since God put goerge and his baby-raping fascist junta in control of the planet five years ago.

This time it's the Pentagon, and not Jerry Falwell, who has some terrible videotapes--of child rapes at Abu Ghraib.

What happens to baby-rapers when they go to prison

Sometimes there is justice, and the punishment really does fit the crime.

They're fighting 'em over there so they don't have to fight 'em over...there?

Terrists, insurgents, al-qaeda, oh, my!

"Insurgents" now are fighting "al-qaeda" in Iraq.

"The war on terr must be won in order to be able to have THIS sound economy"

According to this White House wanker, we have a sound economy, but we must win the war on terr in order to have it.

Orwell had no idea of how far this fascist junta would take Newspeak.

DeLay is hoist by his own petard

Who says there's no such thing as karma?

After criminally taking and using money to unconstitutionally redistrict Texas and disenfranchise Democrats, now it looks like that very scam will help put that bipedal pustule on the street once and for all...until he goes to the slammer, that is. Hey, the Hammer in the Slammer. I should write the teevee movie about that.

Scalito claims he doesn't recall belonging to "Concerned Alumni of Princeton"

But this writer remembers Scalito very well.

I had been scheduled to testify as an expert on an organization called Concerned Alumni of Princeton. In 1985, on an application for a promotion in the Reagan Justice Department, Alito had touted his membership in CAP, which had opposed coeducation at Princeton and asked for strict quotas limiting the numbers of women and minorities at the university. Alito's membership in the group thus could shed light on his respect for civil rights.

Bill Bradley (Princeton, class of 1965), future Democratic senator, quit CAP in disgust within a year after it was founded in 1972. Bill Frist (class of '74), future Republican Senate majority leader, publicly censured the organization. But CAP survived to become more anti-woman and anti-minority. In 1984, a year before Alito proudly proclaimed his membership, CAP's magazine had published details of an underage female student's sex life and named her, allegedly by mistake. A few issues before that, in a piece about blacks and Latinos, the magazine editorialized: "People nowadays just don't seem to know their place."

Scalito is a pre-American Revolution reactionary intellectual judicial Machiavelli.

Does Mrs. Scalito know her husband is against "letting" women go to college?

Resluglicons lie about literally everything

Who really made Mrs. Scalito cry on cue? Not a Democrat, but resluglicon Lindsey Graham.

Goerge's updated resume

From Daughter of Vietnam Vet, courtesy Hoffmanblog.

"Common sense and reality," as in...

*an illegal, immoral, and criminal war that has cost hundreds of thousands of innocents their lives.

*2200 dead American troops and counting.

*A chump military deserter who sent them to their deaths but was not man enough to fight in a war during his enlistment.

*Racism alive and well in this country, as evidenced by the lack of response in Katrina and all of the posturing and hate speech surrounding a Berlin-type wall between the U.S. and Mexico.

*Homophobia alive and well in this country, as we still do not permit nor sanction loving gay couples to make their union legal and permanent.

*Prejudice against women alive and well in this country, as witnessed by the almost-impending loss of reproductive freedoms in the form of Roberts and Alito.

*Millions and millions of working Americans (you know, the earnest ones) just barely getting by on their salaries, and foregoing health insurance because of the costs.

*Healthcare costs that have skyrocketed FORTY PERCENT since the little dictator stole the 2000 election.

*A complete and utter disregard for science and scientific theories, as evidenced by this "intelligent design" nonsense, and as evidenced by schools actually teaching this voodoo to students.

*Corruption as far as the eye can see with these "earnest" folks.

*Stealing from Native American tribes.

*Raping the environment, both in our own country and around the world.

*Destroying all that our founding fathers worked so hard for, and gave their lives for, in the form of the so-called Patriot Act and in the practice of knowingly and willingly violating the 4th Amendment by wiretapping and spying on American citizens.

*Painting anti-war citizens as being "treasonous" and "against the troops," despite the fact that many of the protesters at any event are either veterans, military family members, or those who have lost their sons and daughters to war.

*Vilifying a grieving mother whose son was murdered in a criminal war based on lies.

*Permitting the man behind 9/11 to remind free.

*Cutting educational spending.

*Disrespecting our veterans by cutting their services and pay in a time of war.

*Braying about how "the economy is growing!" Yeah, if you want to work in the service sector.

*Encouraging a lifestyle of Haves and Have Nots in the United States, a gap that widens even as I type this.

*Hiding behind, lying about, and distorting the words of Jesus Christ to justify their own crimes and hatefulness, and blaspheming His Holy Name in the process."

Neo-Tories are bigger threat to democracy than al-qaeda ever will be

Their ancestors, the first Tories, did their dead-level best to prevent America from being born 230 years. Since then, their descendants, the Neo-Tories (aka resluglicons) have been working full-time to destroy this ridiculous experiment in democracy, and return the colonies to a state of feudal theocracy.

How patriots used to treat Tories

The Torie would be tarred and feathered, adorned with a bell, then led around town by a slave. The modern version should include being led by one whom the Torie would have enslaved.

Chickenhawks carry on the proud tradition

Please also forward this message to the Speaker of the House of Representatives

I demand that congress pass legislation ending the war in Iraq and withdraw the troops and arrange with the United Nations to replace US troops with UN troops to defend Iraq until The Iraqi army can defend Iraq.

I was right 15 years before then, and I'm still right now. Rock on, Frank.

Flashback to 1986

Zappa: The biggest threat to America today is not communism; it's moving America towards a fascist theocracy and everything that has happened during the Reagan administration. Is steering us right down that pipe

Zappa: When you have a government that prefers a certain moral code derived from a certain religion and that moral code turns into legislation to suit one certain religious point of view and if that code happens to be very, very right wing almost toward Attila the Hun.

Lofton: Well then you are an anarchist. Every form of civil government is based on some kind of morality, Frank.

President Bush, in full campaign mode, warned Democratic critics of his Iraq policy on Tuesday to watch what they say or risk giving "comfort to our adversaries" and suffering at the ballot box in November. Democrats said Bush should take his own advice.

"Impeachment: It's not just for ******** anymore."

He was right, it was a "teachable moment"

But the lesson they learned was not what the teacher expected.

The president's visit struck Walz as a teachable moment, and he and two students boarded a Bush campaign bus that took them to a quarry where the president was to speak. But after they had passed through a metal detector and their tickets and IDs were checked, they were denied admittance and ordered back onto the bus. One of the boys had a John Kerry sticker on his wallet.

A German Jew World War I veteran might as well have tried to get in here.

For only the third time ever, ACLU opposes a SCOTUS nominee

And why not since Scalito has admitted he'll say anything to get a job? Why should we believe a word he says this week? He's part of the fascist club who want to literally undo the American Revolution, and turn America into a feudal theocracy.

Not since Robert Bork in 1987, and William Rehnquist before him, has the ACLU opposed a nominee.

"At a time when our president has claimed unprecedented authority to spy on Americans and jail terrorism suspects indefinitely, America needs a Supreme Court justice who will uphold our precious civil liberties," said ACLU Executive Director Anthony D. Romero in a statement released Monday. "Unfortunately, Judge Alito's record shows a willingness to support government actions that abridge individual freedoms."

Romero, speaking Tuesday on Air America Radio's Rachel Maddow show, said that his organization finds most troubling the content of Alito's statements and opinions and his judicial record. President Bush, he said, "has seized unilateral executive powers;" having Alito on the High Court is a major threat to Americans' civil liberties as a result.

Romero cited Alito's troubling decisions on race, religion, and reproductive rights during his years as a federal appeals court judge. What concerns the ACLU and Democrats everywhere is that these are the key issues where O'Connor provided the crucial swing vote.

Alito has a frightening 15-year paper trail which the ACLU has meticulously detailed in a issued a 68-page report. This documentation of Alito's record on civil liberties and civil rights was sent in December, along with a letter expressing "deep concern," to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Arlen Specter and Ranking Member Patrick Leahy, urging the committee to conduct a thorough review of Judge Alito's record.

Both the report and the letter are available at

Look for more tax cuts and terist alerts between now and the mid-terms.

• Corruption will be a voting issue in November, they say. Only the war in Iraq, terrorism and health care are cited more often as "extremely important" issues this year; 43% describe "corruption in government" that way. In comparison, 38% call the economy an extremely important issue.

• Attitudes toward the Republican congressional leadership have soured. By 50%-40%, those surveyed say the policies proposed by Republican leaders in Congress would move the country in the wrong direction. That's by far the worst showing since the GOP took control more than a decade ago.

The Moonies TIMES strikes again. According to their brand of "journalism," that Abramamoff mentioned two Dems' names proves they're just as crooked at all resluglicons in America, thereby diluting the impact of this scandal for the mid-term elections.

Republicans are looking for "their" John McCain. The popular Arizona maverick is already a Republican, of course. But the GOP needs a McCain in the "Keating Five" sense. Back in 1990, Senate Democrats roped McCain into the scandal over savings and loan kingpin Charles Keating on tenuous grounds, just so not all the senators involved would be Democrats.

The GOP now craves such bipartisan cover in the Jack Abramoff scandal. Republicans trumpet every Democratic connection to Abramoff in the hope that something resonates. Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.), took more than $60,000 from Abramoff clients! North Dakota Democratic Sen. Byron Dorgan used Abramoff's skybox! It is true that any Washington influence peddler is going to spread cash and favors as widely as possible, and 210 members of Congress have received Abramoff-connected dollars. But this is, in its essence, a Republican scandal, and any attempt to portray it otherwise is a misdirection.

"Signing statements" mean he can ignore laws he doesn't like.

In fact, Bush has used signing statements to reject, revise or put his spin on more than 500 legislative provisions. Experts say he has been far more aggressive than any previous president in using the statements to claim sweeping executive power - and not just on national security issues.

Abramamoff learns hard lesson: There's never been any honor among thieves

Tough putty.

Even if Abramoff wanted to escape the suburban home where he has hunkered down, the knee surgery he underwent Thursday has hobbled him. He sits at home, friends say, speculating about which of the people who no longer return his calls are making which anonymous snipes in the newspapers...

And, of course, he is dangerous. As part of his plea, Abramoff agreed to become the principal witness in what many say could be the most explosive corruption investigation in congressional history. Abramoff's ties to the Republican Party stretch into the executive branch, and he could implicate up to 12 members of Congress, people involved in the case said.

Abramoff's most constant concern, people in contact with him said, is money. Despite collecting $40 million from clients in four years, he has told people that he is going broke.

Abramoff has told people that is trying to develop some income, mainly through real estate deals and finder's fees on other ventures. Yet few people want to do business with him.

British royalty vs American wannabe royalty

British princes accept and finish their military training. American Tories either dodge military service in time of war, or go AWOL.

British princes

William, 23, the eldest son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, becomes one of the 270 recruits taking the 44-week course. Charles traveled to the academy to accompany William on his first day.

The future king was required to bring his own ironing board as well as heavy black military boots…

William, who graduated from Scotland's St. Andrews University in June, will be the most senior royal in recent memory to attend the academy — opting for the army rather than the navy.

Charles trained to be a pilot with the Royal Air Force as well as serving in the Navy.

William follows his younger brother, Prince Harry, who enrolled at the academy in May.

American chickenhawks and deserters

George Bush, in spite of his brush-clearin’ good-ol’-boy routine, is nothing if not an aristocrat—born to wealth and power, schooled in the best private instutitions, rising to prominence not on his merit, but his name. And like many American artisocrats, Bush used his privilege, while denying its existence at every turn, to avoid serving his country, until he could do so as a leader, at which time he shed any pretense of serving the country, instead serving the agenda of other aristocrats.

What does the Constitution say about an American king?

Unrewritten history: Goerge Washington could have assumed the role of King of America, and turned it down. That's a true fact. He later, however, did accept the job of President.

The Republican party, the party of original intent, is letting George Bush expand his presidential power in direct opposition to the intent of the framers of the Constitution.

For better or worse, though, this is not the system envisioned by the framers of the Constitution. The framers meant for the legislative branch to be the most important actor in the federal government: Congress was to make the laws and the president was empowered only to execute them. The very essence of a republic was that it would be governed through a deliberative legislature, composed carefully to reflect both popular will and elite limits on that will. The framers would no sooner have been governed by a democratically elected president than by a king who got his job through royal succession.

For the last four years, a Republican Congress has done almost nothing to rein in the expansion of presidential power. This abdication of responsibility has been even more remarkable than the president's assumption of new powers.

If Scalito is confirmed, he will help undo the American Revolution

The Tories opposed independency in 1776. Their descendents (resluglicons) have been working to get rid of this "experiment in democracy" ever since, and return the colonies to a state of feudal theocracy as God intended. The first big attempt--and failure--was when they tried to replace FDR with a Mussolini-style fascist dictator in 1933. The most recent effort was in stealing the 2000 election, and setting in place the mechanisms to steal all future elections.

The simple fact is that with Scalito there, the Extreme Court will obviate both Congress and the Constitution, and make the president a de facto dictator.

Baptist "pastor" who asked male cop to meet him for oral sex still has a job

"Yeah, I wanted to have sex with him, but not in a gay way; like a Viking."

"Typically when there's a moral failure of this sort, there's a voluntary resignation," Kenyn Cureton, vice president for convention relations, said Thursday. "If the charges are true, this is tragic news. I hope it's not true. But it doesn't look good, obviously. Certainly he and his church family are in our prayers."

How many Baptists prayed for Clinton during his impeachment, and how many still want him burned at the stake?

Only their people are innocent until proven guilty. Everybody else is guilty upon being accused, even if the crimes never happened. (For example, Jerry Falwell's videotapes "proving" Clinton murdered Vince Foster who, in fact, committed suicide.)

I still want to see what comes out--you should pardon the expression--in court. There will be audio and/or videotapes of the bust.

DeLay: Victim of massive conspiracy--to reveal his crimes

Why does he bother when he already knows resluglicons don't care if he's guilty? They love criminals. They all are criminals.

DELAY: And because of that rule, the Democrats used this runaway District Attorney here in Austin, Texas to abuse that rule. Eight grand juries indicted me, and the only reason to indict me is to get me to step aside.

ANCHOR: You said just a moment ago you suspect that this was the real reason you were indicted because the Democrats wanted you out of the role of Majority Leader.

DELAY: It’s the only reason, Brian.

Goerge negotiates with "rejectionists," but not "terists"

Glad to see he's still holding out for complete victory. I bet he thinks he's "reaching out" to the kids in the Audio-Visual Club.

"The Last Throes" Season 5.2

Only 57 dead in the past four days. Yep, it's about over...again.

Since Dick said the war was nearly over last May, we can only assume Netflix will have each subsequent season of "The Last Throes" soon.

The Empire Strikes Back II now on dvd.

US missile kills 8 Pakistani villagers.

"Just Us Sunday III" theofascists who are attacking everybody in the land claim they're the ones under attack

And of course the real enemy is the "liberal media."

This is rich. They say it's okay to have been unconstitutionally pledged federal money since they haven't gotten any yet.

On "Battlestar Galactica," the Cylons say they're doing God's work, too.

What theofascists look like when seen through polarized glasses.

What quasi-theofascist Coultergeist wishes she looked like when seen through any glasses.

53% of Americans are brain-dead; still don't understand how big a fascist Scalito is

Many say they'll watch confirmation hearings. Everybody watching will need several sets of new Bull$#!+ Deflectors. Get yours here.

Maybe they'll see for themselves how he obfuscates about his own fascist history.

Almost as many still swallow goerge's bull$#!+ about terist attacks.

People, if there really were terists who hated us for our freedoms, they'd have done something since 9-11.

Theofascists just love Scalito

"Just Us Sunday III" was inexplicably about judges, not Jesus.

Remember the first "Just Us Sunday" rallies of the 1930s?

LET THE GAMES BEGIN: Dems grow new spinal fluid, will focus on Abramamoff for election year strategy

It's about damn time they stood up and called resluglicons what they've always been: Criminals.

As a cartoonist pointed out recently, the Dems have been out of power for six years. Bribing them would be like an actress sleeping with a movie's writer to get a part.

Fascist criminals plan election year strategy to appear less fascist and criminal

Too late. The word is out on who resluglicons really are and what they really want to do to our country.

Goerge "can't recall" meeting Abramamoff whose team goerge and his team met with at least 195 times

Goerge is a liar, or he's senile. Either way, it's time for him to go away and leave us alone.

Is this scandal "bipartisan" or resluglicon?

WASHINGTON (AP) — In President Bush's first 10 months, GOP fundraiser Jack Abramoff and his lobbying team logged nearly 200 contacts with the new administration as they pressed for friendly hires at federal agencies and sought to keep the Northern Mariana Islands exempt from the minimum wage and other laws, records show.

Abramoff's team didn't neglect party politics either: There were at least two meetings with Republican National Committee officials, including then-finance chief Jack Oliver, as well as attendance at GOP fundraisers.

In 2000, Abramoff and his team were connected enough to both political parties to boast of obtaining early drafts of the platforms each adopted at its presidential nominating convention.

"In the case of the Republican platform, the team reviewed and commented on sections dealing with insular territories to ensure appropriately positive treatment. This was successful," the Preston Gates firm wrote to Marianas.

"In the case of the Democratic Party platform, the team assisted in drafting early versions of neutral language relating to the territories," the firm wrote. "However, heavy intervention by the White House eventually deleted positive references to the CNMI."

The access of Abramoff and his team to the administration came as the lobbyist was establishing himself as a GOP fundraiser.

Evangelism or imperialism?

Theofascists set up shop in Africa, use our tax money for their sinister purposes.

Evangelicals' evangelizing is not surprising. However, the fact that many of these groups have teamed up with -- and are receiving significant support from -- the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) (website), is worth paying attention to.

Are lying, bribing and stealing really part of God's "worldview?"

"Worldview..." Sounds a lot like "New World Order" to me.

Imagine how crooked DeLay would be in Satan had been "training" him

Several years ago, at one of many fundamentalist meetings he has addressed, DeLay explained: "He [God] has been walking me through an incredible journey, and it all comes down to worldview. He is using me, all the time, everywhere, to stand up for biblical worldview in everything that I do and everywhere I am. He is training me, He is working with me."

"Last Throes: The Next Generation"

17 more dead GIs.

Yep, Cheney's been right since May; it's almost over--again.

Iraq replaces Afghanistan as terist "nerve center"

Goergie, you're doing a helluva job.

All resluglicons are criminals; that's why they're resluglicons

The next gang is under scrutiny now. Thousands more to go.

Unrewritten history lesson from 1972

Activist/librul Supreme Court says presidents aren't above the law

Even fascist dictators must get warrants to eavesdrop on law-abiding citizens. Of course, they were in that "pre-9/11 mindset" which caused people to believe the Constitution was still in effect.

Actually, Scalito is a "mainstream kancervative"

There's no such thing as a "moderate" fascist criminal.

He's just as bad as the rest of those who pretend publicly they're not doing their damnedest to turn our country into a polluted feudal theocracy.

American Jews wary about theofascists

Can you blame them?

Goerge made us all less safe with his war

The Aussies agree with us on this. Good on ya', mate.

BRILLIANT: If resluglicons say we don't have a right to privacy, we say they don't, either

Buy their phone records and let them see how they like being spied on...except this is legal. will reimburse you if you buy a resluglicon's phone records and find gold.

Get cellphone records here. 100 calls for $110

These fascist nutrolls say we shouldn't mind being spied upon, so neither should they, right?

Just ask Chicago cops how they feel about having their phone records made available to the criminals they're trying to round up

BLASPHEMY: In the parallel universe of Kancervatron, praying for Scalito's confirmation is "not taking sides"

Theofascists anoint chairs with holy oil, "bless" doors to Scalito's hearing room because they know what God thinks about everything, and the rest of us don't.

Insisting that God "certainly needs to be involved" in the Supreme Court confirmation process, three Christian (sic) ministers today blessed the doors of the hearing room where Senate Judiciary Committee members will begin considering the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito on Monday.

Capitol Hill police barred them from entering the room to continue what they called a consecration service. But in a bit of one-upsmanship, the three announced that they had let themselves in a day earlier, touching holy oil to the seats where Judge Alito, the senators, witnesses, Senate staffers and the press will sit, and praying for each of the 13 committee members by name.

"We did adequately apply oil to all the seats," said the Rev. Rob Schenck, who identified himself as an evangelical Christian (sic) and as president of the National Clergy Council in Washington.

Rev. Schenck called the consecration service the kick-off in a series of prayer (sic) meetings that will continue throughout the confirmation hearing.

Capitol Hill police said they weren't aware that the three had entered the hearing room earlier, but added that hearing rooms typically aren't locked because "they're not of interest to anyone." Lt. Dominick Costa said the Judiciary Committee room will be swept for bombs and perhaps for electronic bugging equipment before the hearing begins.

The three ministers insisted they weren't taking sides in the Alito debate. "This is not a pro-Alito prayer," insisted the Rev. (sic) Patrick Mahoney, director of the Christian (sic) Defense Coalition. With abortion, public prayer, gay marriage and right-to-life issues among those topping public debate, however, "God…is interested in what goes on" in the nomination hearing, Rev. Schenck said.
