Keep King Goerge from using the White House press corps as part of his Ministry of Truth.
King Goerge orders scientists to alter findings about endangered species so corporations can rape and pillage more of the environmenthttp://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-scientists10feb10,0,4954654.story?coll=la-home-nation
A biologist in Alaska wrote in response to the survey: "It is one thing for the department to dismiss our recommendations, it is quite another to be forced (under veiled threat of removal) to say something that is counter to our best professional judgment."
So King Goerge is bribing Poland into forcing their soldiers to do his dirty work since young chickenhawks don't seem to be lining up outside recuiting offices here to fight his holy wars.
Warsaw, under political and economic pressure, had sought an increase in American military aid, and a Polish reporter asked about that. "The president and I talked about that," Mr. Bush said. He said he would ask Congress to increase Polish military aid to $100 million from the current $65 million.
Condo caught lying...again. Does anyone care that this is the most corrupt administration in our history?http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/2/10/194520/107
Although then national security adviser Condoleezza Rice wrote a March 22, 2004 column in The Washington Post that "No al-Qaeda threat was turned over to the new administration," a newly declassified document tells a very different story.
Treats republicans there the way republicans treat everybody else here.
Concerned about provocative tactics being adopted by Germany's main neo-Nazi party, leading government ministers announced plans on Friday to ban far-right demonstrations during commemorations this year of the end of World War II.

Big gubmnt takes "frivolous lawsuit" cases from state courts, gives them to King Goerge's fascist federal judges.

Bush repeatedly lies, deceives the American people via the vast, right-wing conspiracy fascist propaganda liars' networkhttp://americablog.blogspot.com/2005/02/
By its own admission, the White House has:
1. Planted fake news stories on local TV stations to push its agenda
2. Put journalists on the government payroll.
3. Had supposed independent journalists testify to Congress when they were being paid off by the govt.
4. Paid off journalists to push its agenda in the larger media.
5. And now, planted fake journalists in the White House press room and passed them CIA documents to push its agenda.
The latest media manipulation?
Bush appeared at the Commerce Department with what he pretended was an independent expert to push his fight against class-action lawsuits. That person, Walter E. Dellinger III, is no independent expert who has seen the light on this issue: he and his law firm are paid lobbyists, receiving $780,000 in the last few years to push for the legislation. Can you imagine? Bush made a point of saying Dellinger had worked for the Clinton Administration -- as if that proved his bona fides -- but didn't mention the guy was a shill for the people pushing to change the laws. The President lied. This should be scandalous. But they've done it so often it was blown off in an inside story in the New York Times.

RNC renounces Bill of Rights, threatens broadcasters who air ads criticizing King Goerge's Social Security scamWhen did the RNC become a wing of the Justice Department?
The RNC's letter noted that the stations have a responsibility as holders of Federal Communications Commission licenses "to avoid broadcasting deliberate misrepresentations. ... This letter places you on notice that the information (in the ad) is false and misleading."
Clearly, this doesn't apply to FAUXNEWS or anyone else in the vast, right-wing conspiracy. All they do is broadcast deliberate misrepresentations...aka, LIES.
WH's McClellan Says He Knew "Gannon" Was "Guckert"
To the surprise of no one, the saga of former White House correspondent James D. Guckert, also known as Jeff Gannon, took center stage at a briefing conducted by White House spokesman Scott McClellan today.
Gannon/Guckert quit his post at an obscure Web site, Talon News, Tuesday night after bloggers exposed the fact that he had been working under an alias and had possible links to sex-oriented Web sites. Questions have emerged about how and why the White House allowed the reporter (sic) to attend briefings and even ask President Bush a very friendly question at his recent press conference. (See previous E&P Online story.)
MCCLELLAN ADMITTED TODAY THAT HE KNEW THAT "JEFF GANNON" WAS NOT THE REPORTER'S (SIC) REAL NAME. YET AT NUMEROUS TELEVISED PRESS BRIEFINGS HE ADDRESSED HIM AS "JEFF."
That's EIGHT MONTHS before 9/11. So naturally King Goerge spent August on his "ranch."
Washington, D.C., February 10, 2005 - The National Security Archive today posted the widely-debated, but previously unavailable, January 25, 2001, memo from counterterrorism coordinator Richard Clarke to national security advisor Condoleezza Rice - the first terrorism strategy paper of the Bush administration. The document was central to debates in the 9/11 hearings over the Bush administration's policies and actions on terrorism before September 11, 2001. Clarke's memo requests an immediate meeting of the National Security Council's Principals Committee to discuss broad strategies for combating al-Qaeda by giving counterterrorism aid to the Northern Alliance and Uzbekistan, expanding the counterterrorism budget and responding to the U.S.S. Cole attack. Despite Clarke's request, there was no Principals Committee meeting on al-Qaeda until September 4, 2001.
Coulterskank: "Would that it were so! ... That the American military were targeting journalists."
From _BRUCE BARTLETT_ (mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org) :
Having worked in the White House, I can assure everyone that not only would it be impossible to get a White House pass using an alias, it is impossible even to get past the gate for an appointment using an alias. Thorough FBI background checks are required for the former and a picture ID is necessary for the latter. Therefore, if Gannon was using an alias, White House staff had to be involved in maintaining his cover.
That's what patriots did to French whores and others who collaborated with the nazis during WWII. It's time for Liebermann and his ilk to remember that history lesson.
Congressman: Democrat Leadership Threatening 'Retribution' for Dems Who Cooperate with White House
Richard Perle, the dark prince of neoconservativism, is quoted in Reuters saying that U.S. intelligence on Iran is horrible: “As I understand it, virtually our entire [intelligence] network in Iran was wiped out,” he says, adding that dozens of U.S. agents in Iran were arrested in the 1990s. “I think we’re in bad shape in Iran.”

One of the first men to be tried will be a cousin of Mr. Hussein's, Ali Hassan al-Majid, known as Chemical Ali for his role in poison-gas attacks that killed thousands of Iraqi Kurds in the late 1980's, officials say.
After initial knee-jerk "lefty/liberal bloggers" hogwash, compassionate, moral yadda yaddas finally realize a fake reporter from a fake "news" agency, who also apparently is a male prostitute or runs websites for such, has been in the White House press room for two years, somehow getting past a background check with a fake name. Oh, and he somehow got hold of highly classified CIA stuff about Valery Plame.
So who's the villain here, lefty/librul yadda yaddas for running this probably criminal, and possible traitor, bozo fraud out of town, or the people who allowed him into the White House every day for two years so he could get King Goerge off the hook at press briefings...and who knows what else related to his gay escort websites?
I'm waiting to hear from Dobson, Falwell and Robertson on this. Also Rush, O'Really, Hannity and Coulterskank. But I ain't holding my breath. If they do say anything about this scandal, it'll be to prove lefty/librul yadda yaddas ought not be allowed to do investigative journalism on the internets.

Jeff Gannon, the controversial reporter (sic) for conservative Web site Talon News (sic) who drew complaints for gaining access to White House press events, resigned from his job last night amid liberal blogs' allegations about his real name and his personal and professional life.
Today, Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) sent a letter to President Bush asking him to "address the matter" in light of "mounting evidence that your Administration has, on several occasions, paid members of the media to advocate in favor of Administration policies."
In her letter to President Bush, Rep. Slaughter charged that "it appears that 'Mr. Gannon's' presence in the White House press corps was merely as a tool of propaganda for your Administration."
The Talon News (sic) site has since scrubbed its archives of many "Gannon" articles and removed his biography.
Insurgent or patriot? This is my first editorial. It's a departure from my stated goal of linking to news stories, admittedly with an inflammatory comment or two. But one of the things I'm tired of about the worthlesscorporatemedia's "coverage" of Gulp War II is their continued use of the term, "insurgent" to describe those who shoot at American GIs.
By definition, an insurgent is one who rebels against established authority. So I ask you, if Canada declared that King Goerge was a menace and had to go (yes, he is and yes, he should, but it's not their job), would you pick up a rifle and do everything you could to kick them back above the border? I would. But I would not call myself an insurgent. And it sure as hell wouldn't be in support of a single word King Goerge ever said or thought.
Firstly, I would not admit to rebelling against any established Canadian authority. No invader is any authority, established, or otherwide. They can claim it, but then, King Goerge claims to be a christian.
Secondly, fighting an invader is not rebelling. It's resisting. Resisting an invader who wasn't invited is defending one's home. In past wars, those whom we supported in their fights against invaders--Russians, Dutch, French, Greeks, Italians, Filipinos, Chinese, Malaysians, even Germans--were never called insurgents, but were called partisans, resistance, or underground. In Afghanistan 25 years ago, we called them freedom fighters.
Thirdly, if my friends from New Zealand agreed that I should resist Canada's incursion and joined me in the fight, it wouldn't be because they hated Canada for their freedoms and all that hogwash. It would be because Canada had no right to invade another country.
Twist this into whatever pleases you. But keep in mind, King Goerge invaded a country, Iraq, that didn't and couldn't attack or even threaten the US. Everything he said before and since Gulp War II is a lie. Period. End of story. Ergo, we are not an established authority in Iraq, and the Iraqis are not rebelling.
They and some friends are defending their homes from uninvited guests. And we never should have put them or our own troops in that situation.
God help America.
In an attempt to promote President Bush's plan to partially privatize Social Security, nationally syndicated radio host and former Reagan administration official William J. Bennett and FOX News managing editor and anchor Brit Hume falsely claimed that President Franklin Delano Roosevelt advocated replacing Social Security with private accounts. In fact, while Roosevelt advocated "voluntary contributory annuities" to supplement guaranteed Social Security benefits, he never proposed replacing those benefits with private accounts.

Ken Mehlman, the newly elected head of the Republican National Committee, chose to make his first official event appearance in Prince George’s County on Feb. 8 in a campaign to attract GOP supporters.
"We’re now making a real effort to make up for time lost," Mehlman told a full house at Prince George’s Community College. "If you give us a chance we’ll give you a choice." Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele, who introduced Mehlman, said that the Republican party had done a disservice to African-American and minority voters by not paying them enough attention.
"You weren’t the ones who walked away from the party; the party walked away from you," Steele posited. "This is about the party walking back to African Americans [and minorities]."
Mehlman said that the GOP, traditionally not the choice of African-American voters in national or local elections, wanted minorities to realize that representation by one party, typically the Democratic Party, had in fact relegated minorities to the political back seat.
Better yet, DON'T waste your energy talking to Anthrax Coulterskank. Backwash your WaterPic instead.
In much the same way that a child's psychology cannot be understood without looking at the family system he or she is a part of, George Bush does not exist in isolation. We can view Bush and his entire Administration (Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Wolfowitz, etc), as well as the corporate, military industrial complex that they are co-dependently enmeshed with, the media that they control, the voters that support them, and ourselves as well, as interconnected parts of a whole system, or a "field." Instead of relating to any part of this field as an isolated entity, it’s important to contemplate the entire interdependent field as the ‘medium’ though which malignant egophrenia manifests and propagates itself. ME disease is a field phenomenon, and needs to be contemplated as such.

Is Rush's best friend, "Jeff Gannon," a male prostitute who visits the White House every day?Or does he just run a male escort service?
It's a long and sordid tale, but let me give it to you in a nutshell. Mr. Gannon's home page is JeffGannon.com. Well, JeffGannon.com is owned by a person and company that owns the following Web addresses as well:
And for those of you who are clueless, "m4m" is a gay online term for men who are looking to have sex with other men, and "escort" means prostitute. And being a military escort is also against the Uniform Code of Military Justice in at least two different ways, if not more.
The story of the conservative rise that Stein portrays begins back in the early 1970s, when there was panic among conservatives, especially in corporate boardrooms, that capitalism was under serious attack, and something drastic had to be done about it. The National Chamber of Commerce asked Lewis Powell, a former head of the American Bar Association and member of 11 corporate boards, to write a blueprint of what had to be done. The result, says Stein, is one the most prescient documents of our time. The memo lays out the framework, the goals and the ingredients for the conservative revolution that has gained momentum and power ever since. Two months after penning the memo, then-President Richard M. Nixon appointed Powell, a Democrat, to the U.S. Supreme Court.

King Goerge's fascist gubmnt is exactly what the Pilgrims LEFT to come here.
It is hard to believe that George Bush has ever read the works of George Orwell, but he seems, somehow, to have grasped a few Orwellian precepts. The lesson the President has learned best--and certainly the one that has been the most useful to him--is the axiom that if you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it. One of his Administration's current favorites is the whopper about America having been founded on Christian principles. Our nation was founded not on Christian principles but on Enlightenment ones. God only entered the picture as a very minor player, and Jesus Christ was conspicuously absent.
Our Constitution makes no mention whatever of God. The omission was too obvious to have been anything but deliberate, in spite of Alexander Hamilton's flippant responses when asked about it: According to one account, he said that the new nation was not in need of "foreign aid"; according to another, he simply said "we forgot." But as Hamilton's biographer Ron Chernow points out, Hamilton never forgot anything important.
In the eighty-five essays that make up The Federalist, God is mentioned only twice (both times by Madison, who uses the word, as Gore Vidal has remarked, in the "only Heaven knows" sense). In the Declaration of Independence, He gets two brief nods: a reference to "the Laws of Nature and Nature's God," and the famous line about men being "endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights." More blatant official references to a deity date from long after the founding period: "In God We Trust" did not appear on our coinage until the Civil War, and "under God" was introduced into the Pledge of Allegiance during the McCarthy hysteria in 1954 [see Elisabeth Sifton, "The Battle Over the Pledge," April 5, 2004].
In 1797 our government concluded a "Treaty of Peace and Friendship between the United States of America and the Bey and Subjects of Tripoli, or Barbary," now known simply as the Treaty of Tripoli. Article 11 of the treaty contains these words:
As the Government of the United States...is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion--as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity of Musselmen--and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mehomitan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.
This document was endorsed by Secretary of State Timothy Pickering and President John Adams. It was then sent to the Senate for ratification; the vote was unanimous. It is worth pointing out that although this was the 339th time a recorded vote had been required by the Senate, it was only the third unanimous vote in the Senate's history. There is no record of debate or dissent. The text of the treaty was printed in full in the Philadelphia Gazette and in two New York papers, but there were no screams of outrage, as one might expect today.
The Founding Fathers were not religious men, and they fought hard to erect, in Thomas Jefferson's words, "a wall of separation between church and state." John Adams opined that if they were not restrained by legal measures, Puritans--the fundamentalists of their day--would "whip and crop, and pillory and roast." The historical epoch had afforded these men ample opportunity to observe the corruption to which established priesthoods were liable, as well as "the impious presumption of legislators and rulers," as Jefferson wrote, "civil as well as ecclesiastical, who, being themselves but fallible and uninspired men, have assumed dominion over the faith of others, setting up their own opinions and modes of thinking as the only true and infallible, and as such endeavoring to impose them on others, hath established and maintained false religions over the greatest part of the world and through all time."

Joy, bright spark of divinity,
Daughter of Elysium,
Fire-inspired we tread
Thy magic power re-unites
All that custom has divided,
All men become brothers
Under the sway of thy gentle wings.
Whoever has created
An abiding friendship,
Or has won
A true and loving wife,
All who can call at least one soul theirs,
Join in our song of praise ;
But any who cannot must creep tearfully
Away from our circle.
All creatures drink of joy
At nature's breast.
Just and unjust
Alike taste of her gift ;
She gave us kisses and the fruit of the vine,
A tried friend to the end.
Even the worm can fell contentment,
And the cherub stands before God !
Gladly, like the heavenly bodies
Which He set on their courses
Through the splendour of the firmament ;
Thus, brothers, you should run your race,
As a hero going to conquest.
You millions, I embrace you.
This kiss is for all the world !
Brothers, above the starry canopy
There must dwell a loving Father.
Do you fall in worship, you millions ?
World, do you know your Creator ?
Seek Him in the heavens !
Above the stars must He dwell.

If it's budget time, it must be disinformation time. That's how it goes in the Bush II era. George W. Bush released a budget today that he claims is responsible, honest, and designed to cut the $400 billion-plus deficit in half by 2009. Not so. By now, you probably have heard the obvious criticisms. The budget does not include the $80 billion Bush is asking for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. (And that probably won't cover the full tab.) It doesn't account for the $1 trillion to $2 trillion that Bush needs to pay for the private investment accounts he wants to carve out of Social Security. It also doesn't recognize that several hundred billion dollars will disappear from the revenue stream when the government rejiggers the alternative minimum tax--which it must--to prevent this tax (written to apply to corporations that make creative use of loopholes) from hitting middle-class individual tax filers.
These things don't destroy families; only gay marriage does thatWe will NEVER hear Falwell, Robertson, Dobson, Coultergeist, Hannity, Limbaugh and all those other moral, compassionate "christians" railing against these crimes because libruls and queers are so much worse than corporate criminals who steal a family's money and kill family members.
Owners knowingly exposed miners, town residents to asbestos
W. R. Grace and seven senior employees were accused in a federal indictment on Monday of knowingly exposing miners and residents in a small town to asbestos. More than 1,200 people became ill, and some of them died, prosecutors said. The asbestos was naturally present in a vermiculite mine operated by Grace in Libby for nearly 30 years. Prosecutors say asbestos fibers released by the mining sickened miners, as well as residents of the town.
Merck Canceled Early Vioxx Study
Merck & Company executives have long insisted that they never pursued a clinical trial to directly study the heart risks of the pain drug Vioxx because other tests they were conducting would supply those answers just as quickly.
But previously undisclosed company documents show that the drug maker was poised to begin a major cardiovascular study of the drug in 2002, and abruptly dropped the project just before it was set to start. The trial was scheduled to produce data by March 2004 but may have provided answers about Vioxx's risks even earlier if patients had shown ill effects.
It was not until September 2004 that Merck halted a separate study when patients in that trial experienced heart attacks and strokes at twice the rate of those receiving a placebo.

Bush's $2.6-trillion budget for 2006, if approved by Congress, would be more than ONE-THIRD BIGGER than the budget he inherited four years ago.

"But with 4,000 unborn children perishing daily, Jack Kevorkian knocking on the doors of countless elderly persons, and the celebration of the sexuality explicit on the airwaves of our nation, this question must be posed: where is the Commander in Chief whom this country elected to fight the cultural war? He, my friends, is in Iraq, Afghanistan, and now potentially Iran and North Korea. In a quest for a global hegemony unwanted by the rest of the world, this President has abdicated his post to fight the cultural ills that afflict a weary populace at home, and, even further, may be violating the very doctrine he now espouses."
Now about that Osama guy...
Photos of a wild Oct. 30 party at the camp show women soldiers baring their breasts to male onlookers, and other female G.I.s clad only in bras and panties wrestling and cavorting in a mud-filled plastic pool as men cheer, leer and snap pictures.
A source familiar with the camp said bright lights seen in some of the pictures may have been trained on large, open-air holding pens - indicating that Iraqi detainees could have seen or heard the commotion.
But an Army spokesman in Baghdad denied the incident happened within sight or earshot of Iraqi detainees.

Overall, discretionary spending other than defense and homeland security would fall by nearly 1 percent, the first time in many years that funding for the major part of the budget controlled by Congress would actually go down in real terms, according to officials with access to the budget. The cuts are scattered across a wide swath of the government, affecting a cross-section of constituents, from migrant workers to train passengers to local police departments, according to officials who read portions of the documents to The Washington Post.
About 150 programs in all would be shuttered or radically cut back to help meet Bush's goal of shaving the budget deficit in half by 2009. One out of every three of the targeted programs concerns education. Medicaid funding would be reduced significantly and even major military weapons programs would be scrapped to make more resources available for the war in Iraq (news - web sites).
What the official list omits is Tom Wolfe's racy new beer- and sex-soaked novel, "I Am Charlotte Simmons." The president, a Wolfe fan, has not only read the book but is enthusiastically recommending it to friends.

"In front of a cheering male audience, two young women wearing only bras and panties throw themselves into a mud-filled plastic kiddie pool and roll around in a wild wrestling match.
At one point a man in the audience raises a water bottle and douses the entwined pair.
At another, a "referee" moves in to break up the scantily clad grapplers.
A young blond lifts her T-shirt to expose her breasts. A brunette turns her back to the camera and exposes her thong undies.
These scenes, taken from 30 photos leaked to the Daily News, could have been snapped at an out-of-control frat party.
But this happened a world away from any American college.
The photos were taken in Camp Bucca, the military prison at Umm Qasr in the hot sands of southern Iraq near the Kuwaiti border.
The women are not coeds but military policewomen who had left their uniforms in a pile not far off.
The men are soldiers, too. Most of them wore T-shirts emblazoned with Army logos, but at least one was still wearing his uniform." (More)
War to export democracy may wreck our own.
"(t)he very fact that the f-word (fascist) can be seriously raised in an American context is evidence enough that we have moved into a new period. The invasion of Iraq has put the possibility of the end to American democracy on the table and has empowered groups on the Right that would acquiesce to and in some cases welcome the suppression of core American freedoms. That would be the titanic irony of course, the mother of them all—that a war initiated under the pretense of spreading democracy would lead to its destruction in one of its very birthplaces. But as historians know, history is full of ironies.
